ISI Marked C.I. Detachable Joints: An alternative method of joining A.C. Pressure pipes is with the use of C.I.D. Joints. The C.I.D. Joints consist of central collar, two flanges, two rubber rings and necessary bolts and nuts. For affecting the joint, the rubber rings are located between the collar and the flanges on the two pipes to be joined and the two flanges tightened uniformly with the help of bolts and nuts. The compression of the rubber rings results in a water-tight joint.
